The concept of writing a blog can sometimes make heads spin. That is how I felt when I was writing my first blog. But, each blog post got easier and it was super fun and empowering getting to share my opinions! If I had t
o give any advice to new bloggers, I would choose to share three things.
- Just Type: These are simple words, but they speak volumes. As a new blogger it can be hard to start a post, but I found, if I just started typing my thoughts it will come together easier. I can promise you that! Blogs are all about opinion, and the world needs to hear from you! Do not be afraid to share your opinion, even if you may disagree with another person. Just type, because it’s your blog.
- Be Patient: Each blog post will get better and better, and Doctor Billman will work with you and he understands that some students are new to the blog world. If you make a mistake or are not sure how to add a hyperlink or add in a video, just ask and he will help! Sooner or later you will be a professional.
- Have Fun With It: Your blogs will need to have at least three photos, videos etc., including a hyperlink. The more photos and videos the better. Your blog will look more fun and people will want to read it! Being able to express your opinion is empowering and inspiring, so let it rip!!
This is just my opinion and insights to blog posts, but I have awesome classmates who have their opinions as well. If you click on the word classmates, you can be directed to their sites, to see their opinions! Have fun with it! Good luck!!
a great way to connect to jobs, people and the community. There are many employers on this app and they are able to look at profiles they are interested in and offer someone a job. Each person with a linked in account has their own profile where they can list their skills and attributes. On the other, hand linked in users can go and endorse other peoples skills on their profiles as well. It allows users to list their experiences/j0b titles and follow other organizations they identify with as well. The profile of a user is a great way to show employers what things the user is into and give them a little about their personality.
Crazy People: We have to admit it, people go off their rockers when it comes to defending a candidate they like. But, it makes it very easy to hit that unfriend button if they want to start acting crazy!
let’s see what I missed out on. Because apparently there is a lot!
